German Ifo Business Climate is released by THE INSITITUTE OF IFO. IFO is an acronym from Information and Forschung (research). As one of Germany's largest economic think-tanks, it analyses economic policy and is widely known for its monthly Ifo Business Climate Index for Germany. It is based on surveyed builders, manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers. This survey is highly respected due to its large sample size and historic correlation with German and wider Eurozone economic conditions. It tends to create a hefty market impact upon release.
